Three Instant Self-Hypnosis Techniques
It’s good to have ways to lift yourself into other states of consciousness when the going gets rough. How about some instantaneous ways to shift into states of relaxation when the stresses of life come upon you? Einstein said that you can’t solve a problem on the level it was created - from the mind. You have to go to another level to find the solution. Here’s how!
Create an Instant Trance State
You can get “out of your mind” and into another state so that you can actually create another point of view on anything in your life. You can relax yourself so you don’t react as much to the ups and downs of your life. So if someone is saying things to you that push your buttons or if you feel overwhelmed with so much to do, here’s something you can do:
You can keep your eyes open or you can close them, as you wish. You count from 3 to 1 very slowly. If your eyes are open, stare at something and create a “soft focus.” Imagine that you “see the numbers” or trace them with your finger in the air. Look up - if your eyes are open or dosed. Then if you can (if you’re not driving), close your eyes down and say the word, “Relax.” Then tell yourself anything you’d like yourself to know or do, such as:
“It’s all right.
“Get calm now.”
“Things are working out just fine.”
“I am healing myself now.
Uplift Your Mind
There’s an ancient technique that Joe Vitale teaches based on the time-honored teachings of Ho’oponopono. It too is instantaneous. You accept responsibility for every thing that’s happening in your life, and you realize your power to heal yourself. This is an internal process that can shift your outer reality. Here’s what you say to yourself about anything that’s happening:
Thank you.
I love you.
I’m sorry.
It helps you clear yourself. You say it to yourself and you say it inside yourself mentally to others:. “Thank you for being here. I love you. I’m sorry for any pattern in me, genealogical or for any other reason, that may be in the way. I forgive you as I hope you forgive me.” This process can create huge outer transformation when done within your own self.
Anchor Your Transformation
You can ask yourself if there’s a word or phrase that symbolizes the transformation you’re having, and when you have it, you can say it inside your self, while at the same time, you put your thumb together with your index finger. It’s like pressing “save” on your computer, and you can bring it up at any time to recall your transformed state. This way you have it in your “archives,” and it can be eternally useful for shifting your life.

Slow the Juices and Relax Your Mind, Body and Spirit
A few weeks ago, I was feeling particularly overwhelmed with stress and anxiety. It seemed like anything that could go wrong, did go wrong.
![]()
I felt like I was spinning out of control.I happened to be writing a book on yoga and meditation at the time and came across a website that offered a downloadable mp3 hypnotic relaxation session. It cost me about $20 and it was the best $20 I have ever spent!
There are plenty of places on the internet where you can get these downloadable sessions for a small fee. However, you can also practice self-hypnosis on your own.
You first need to find a quiet place where you can fully relax and listen to your inner voice. You shouldn’t TRY to make something happen. Let your mind listen and relax. A large part of achieving that hypnotic state is to allow it to happen naturally.
Also, don’t watch for certain signs or signals that you might be in a hypnotic state. We can guarantee that if you look for these signs, you won’t be able to fully relax and gain the benefits of self-hypnosis.
There are lots of different ways to experience hypnosis. No two people will have exactly the same experience. In one respect, though, everyone has the same experience: the hypnotic state is always pleasant! There are no “bad trips” in hypnosis. Keep in mind that self-hypnosis is a skill, and that you will continue to get better at it and, as you do, it becomes ever more powerful.
It’s a good idea to set up a schedule of practice, allowing yourself anywhere between 10 and 30 minutes, depending on how busy you are and how much time you have to spend at it. Practice during the best part of your day if you can and at a time when you are least likely to be disturbed by others. Most people find it best to practice lying down, in a comfortable position, with as few distractions as possible. If you are bothered by noise while you practice you can try to mask out the noise with some other source of sound.
You can try stereo music in the background, or white noise if you like. If like most people you don’t have a white noise generator, try tuning a radio receiver between stations. The static you get when you do that is similar to white noise. However this takes an older or cheaper FM receiver without a noise suppressor. Sometimes AM tuners can be used for this. This should just be in the background and not too loud to be distracting.
The basic divisions of a hypnotic induction are relaxation, deepening, suggestion application, and termination.
- 1. Relaxation Your first job in the hypnotic induction is to slow the juices down and get yourself relaxed. But don’t try to force your mind to relax (whatever that means)! If you get yourself physically relaxed, your mind will follow. Relaxation – really deep relaxation – is an ability that most people have either lost or never developed. Some people can do it quite easily, though. They just let go of their tensions and let every part of their body become limp and relaxed. If you are one of these people, begin your self-hypnosis practice by getting nicely relaxed. Take your time. This is not something you want to rush. The time involved for the relaxation phase of your self-hypnosis induction can vary from half an hour to just a few seconds. It is an important part of the induction and should not be slighted. As you get better and your skill increases you will recognize deeply relaxed states, and you will be able 1f23 to achieve them in a surprisingly short time. But as a beginner, take your time. It will be time well spent. A very popular method of deep relaxation is the Jacobson Progressive Relaxation procedure. This involves tensing each of the major muscle groups of your body (foot and lower leg on each side, upper leg and hip, abdomen, etc.). Tense the muscle group for a few seconds, then let go.
- 2. Deepening Procedures Once you have completed the relaxation phase of your self-hypnosis induction procedure, you can begin to deepen the relaxed state. At some time between the deep relaxation and the deepening procedures you will move into a hypnotic state. You probably won’t know it, especially as a beginner, but it will happen sooner or later. One of the first hurdles a beginner must get over is the compulsion to “watch for it.” That is, you will keep waiting for hypnosis to happen, for some change in your awareness or the way you feel that will say to you, “You’re hypnotized.” Watching for hypnosis will definitely get in your way if you don’t get it out of your mind. Going into a hypnotic state is, in this respect, similar to going to sleep. If you try to catch yourself going to sleep – if you try to be aware of the precise instant in which you actually go to sleep – you are much less likely to go to sleep. “Watching” keeps you awake. In this same way you will not know when you go into a hypnotic state (but that won’t be because you lost consciousness – you won’t). Later, after you have been practicing regularly for a few weeks or a month or two, you’ll be much more familiar with yourself and how it feels to be hypnotized. Does it take everyone weeks or even months to get into a good hypnotic state? Definitely not. Some people have an amazing experience the very first time they try it. Others might practice for several days, noticing nothing, then out of the blue they have one of those great induction sessions in which they know something stupendously good happened. But if you happen not to be one of these people, don’t worry about it. Just keep practicing and you will eventually get there. One of the most popular deepening procedures is the count-down technique. Hollywood also likes this one. That is why you see it in so many movies. That and the swinging watch. To use the count-down technique you simply start counting downward from, say, 20 (or 100, or whatever). Adjust the countdown number to whatever feels right to you after you have practiced a few times. Imagine that you are drifting deeper with each count. Other images and thoughts will probably intrude themselves as you count. That is natural. Just gently brush them aside, continuing with your counting. The speed with which you count down should be natural; not too fast, not too slow. For most people this means counting at a rate of about one count for each two or three seconds. Do it at a rate that feels comfortable and relaxed to you. Some people like to tie the count with their breathing. As they drift deeper their breathing slows down, so their counting also slows down. Don’t count out loud, just think your way down the count. You want to avoid as much physical involvement and movement as possible.
- 3. Suggestion Application in self-hypnosis Once you have reached the end of your deepening procedure you are ready to apply suggestions. What you have done during the relaxation and deepening procedures is increase your suggestibility. That is, you have opened up your subconscious mind at least a little bit to receive your suggestions. This works because of the particular, and peculiar, characteristics of the subconscious part of your mind. The most common and easiest way to apply suggestions is to have them worked out ahead of time, properly prepared and worded, and memorized. It should not be too difficult to remember them because they should be rather short and you are the one who composed them. If you have them ready and remembered, you can simply think your way through them at this point. Dialogue, or more properly monologue, is also okay. You just talk (”think” to keep your effort to a minimum) to yourself about what it is you want to do, be, become, whatever. Don’t say “you.” You are thinking to yourself, so use the first person personal pronoun “I.” Some suggestions can be succinctly stated in a somewhat more formal sort of way, like, “I am eating less and becoming more slender every day.” Elaborated suggestions are generally wordier and more of an ad lib: “Food is becoming less important to me every day and I am filling my time with more important and meaningful pursuits than eating. It is getting easier and easier to pass up desserts and other fattening foods . . .” and so on. Generally speaking, the most effective kind of suggestion is image suggestion. Image suggestions usually do not use language at all. You can liken this to seeing yourself in a calm, relaxed state while in the middle of a chaotic situation. Actually see yourself in your mind’s eye. Although people sometimes see immediate results from their suggestions, it is more likely to take a little time for them to kick in. So don’t be impatient. On the other hand, if you have not begun to see some results within, say, a couple of weeks, you need to change your suggestions.
- 4. Termination Once you have finished applying suggestions you are through with your induction and you can terminate your session. You could just open your eyes, get up and go about your business, but that is not a good idea. You should formally identify the end of every session. By doing this you provide a clear boundary between the hypnotic state and your ordinary conscious awareness. A clear termination also prevents your self-hypnosis practice session from turning into a nap. If you want to take a nap, take a nap. But don’t do it in a way that sleeping becomes associated with self-hypnosis practice. If you are practicing at bedtime and don’t care if you go on to sleep, that is okay. But still draw the line in your mind to indicate the end of your self-hypnosis session. To terminate the session, think to yourself that you are going to be fully awake and alert after you count up to, say, three. One, I am beginning to come out of it, moving toward a waking state. Two, I am becoming more alert, getting ready to wake up. Three, I am completely awake.” Something like that.
Self-hypnosis can work wonders when it is practiced on a regular basis. You’d be amazingly surprised at the level of relaxation you can get to. It’s one of the best things I ever did for myself!

There are innumerable defined symptoms of stress. The range falls from the cases of overeating and under eating, much sleep to very little sleep, worrying towards depression and unhappiness. Do not be shocked if you meet people who tend to become overweight due to stress.
According to studies, a range of seventy five percent of the total population is experiencing several sorts of stress in at least every two weeks. With this specific statistical range, half of which experiences between the moderate up to the severe levels of various types of stress on a weekly basis. With all these stressors all around you, your health is likely to suffer. Stress is a strong factor which is a contributory aspect to those known as the silent killers namely-heart disease, high blood pressure, stroke, and some other well known grave illnesses. To top it all, stress distresses the immune system which lessens its ability to fight off the critical infections as well as the diseases. Much more, it could also be a major cause of death, if it is left unattended and ignored totally. As an unhealthy part of a person’s life, stress should then be eliminated. Thus, the client or patient is made to visualize himself as a normal being yet free from stress and its adverse effects. After the hypnosis session, the client would feel much elated with the realization that it is best pleasurable to live life without any stress confronting him. Don’t you feel a stable peace of mind if you are free from stress and there is nothing for you to worry about? Thus, you would be able to focus more on your goals if you are free from any of these hindrances.

Golf Stress - Self-Hypnosis Helps
Golf Stress goes by many different namesבFirst Tee Jitters.’ ‘The Yips.’ ‘Choking When Ahead.’ No matter the name, it is the same thing. It is fear—fear of failure or fear of success. What can you do to keep this fear from taking over? There are two important strategies:
• Distract your Conscious Mind
• Educate your Subconscious Mind
You can recondition your Conscious Mind by engaging your Subconscious Mind. The problem starts by what you tell yourself—what you focus on. “What if I do not make this putt, I will be the laughing stock.” Or you might think that using logic will make it better, “I will use an old ball on this tee, so if I hit it into the water, it won’t be so bad.” You get what you focus on—your ball in the water. Why do you get what you focus on? Because your Subconscious mind only knows, ‘What To Do’ thus, like a computer ‘not’ or ‘don’t are filtered out. Your Subconscious mind hears ‘lake’ and processes it as “into the lake.’
Focusing on “What To Do’ will give you the edge you want. Focus on where you want the ball to go—in the cup. Focusing on what you want is a universal law—The Law of Attraction. It works on drives, pitches over sand traps and putting as well. Focus on the target. It works in life as well.
You need to distract your Conscious Mind. Fuzzy Zoeller whistles. You can think peaceful thoughts or use self-hypnosis.
For some people it is easy to use self-hypnosis, others find they need the assistance of a hypnosis practitioner to learn the process. Once you have learned the process you can readily use self-hypnosis at will.
When you distract your Conscious mind and educate your Subconscious Mind, you will eliminate golf stress. And if your partner says, “Watch for the water on the right, you will know to focus on the ball landing in the cup.”

Self Hypnosis Secrets For Writers - Eliminate Writing Stress
Is writing hard work for you? Many writers find writing stressful, so they never reach their potential; they write less than they could be writing, and make much less money than they should be making. If you’d like to enjoy stress-free writing, self hypnosis can help.
I first discovered the benefits of self hypnosis for writers 30 years ago. At that time I had no idea why self hypnosis worked so well; I thought it was “magic”.
Now I know that self hypnosis trains writers to access their right brain creativity. Once you’ve trained yourself in this way, you can access this mind state at will. Writing will be enjoyable, and you’ll look forward to your writing sessions as the best part of your day.
Who Should Use Self Hypnosis for Writers?
Consider using self hypnosis if you’re blocked, or are procrastinating, or if:
* You’re a new writer and want to develop professional writing habits;
* You’re suffering stress in everyday life which is choking your creativity;
* You must write, but find writing difficult;
* You want to make money writing. Or, you’re already making money writing, you’d like to double or triple your current income within months.
Self hypnosis unlocks your potential; hypnosis is now used in many areas.
An Alpha Brain State Is Relaxing, It Helps to Eliminate Stress
Medical hypnosis is becoming more common, and hypnosis has long been part of coaching in areas like sports. Successful writers develop their own techniques for getting into the alpha mind state of hypnosis over time; it’s often described as a state of “flow.”
You’re more creative in an alpha mind state, so if you can access this state at will, your life will change. Not only will you dissolve writing problems, other stress-related challenges in your life will vanish.
How Do You Learn Self Hypnosis?
Learning self hypnosis is easy. You can learn through a variety of methods: by going to a hypnotherapist, via CD or DVD, or via a book.
If you’re completely new to hypnosis, I recommend that you try hypnosis first, before you learn self hypnosis. This is because you may have preconceived ideas of how you should feel during hypnosis, and this can block your learning.
Big tip: under hypnosis, you’ll feel wonderfully relaxed. You’ll be awake (hypnosis is not sleep), and you’ll hear everything that’s said to you, but you’ll feel as limp as cooked spaghetti. Once you’ve experienced this relaxing state, you’ll want to learn self hypnosis so you can access this state at any time.
Self hypnosis is wonderful for writers; try it and see.

Combat Stress and Anxiety
Self hypnosis is one of the best forms of hypnosis. One doesn’t have to rely on a hypnotist and it’s simpler, easier and free of cost. It is used for several different and variant reasons that are from ‘loosing weight’ to ‘quitting smoking’ and from ’sleeping better’ to ‘being confident’.
Now many psychologists and hypnotists are suggesting that anxiety and stress too and can be battled and gotten rid off by the means of a simple self hypnosis session. The fact behind the idea is that when we are under stress, panicked and anxious about something our mind can not help it consciously. Since the hypnosis is meant to work on the sub-conscious mind, it is easier to access the sub-conscious mind to instruct the conscious mind to calm down.
Combating stress and anxiety by self hypnosis is the easiest of all the other method. During stress or an anxiety attack, when all your body is tensed, sit in a comfortable place, in a comfortable position. Take deep breaths and imagine all the bad things in your life are leaving your brain with each exhaled breath. Now start imagining yourself as a part of your favorite visual imagery. For example it can be a beach, or a fragrant garden besides a lake etc.
Imagine yourself getting nearer and nearer to your favorite spot in that place. When you reach to that place, spend as much time as you want there. Your nerves will be totally relaxed. Now for coming back try leaving the place as slowly as you got there. When finally leaving tell yourself that this is my heaven in the times of stress and I can come here anytime I want to be calmer and composed.
How it works?
It works on a simple principle. You have a resort to go and shed your troubles when ever you feel like. In times of anxiety or stress even when you think of going to that place, your brain will produce a specific mood enhancing chemical and your spirits would be lifted up.
So try this and say good bye to stress and anxiety.

Hypnosis For Stress Relief
One the greatest dilemmas for persons in the modern world is stress. It’s much worse than just healthiness problems such as heart attacks that are brought on by too much stress for way too long. Also, stress and anxiety impacts everything!
It can kill our enjoyment of life as stress causes disturbed emotions of anger, rage, melancholy and depression. It also makes us clumsy and causes us to generate mistakes and most horrible of all, stress makes us think silly thoughts, we become “stupid”, and it cuts off the interior stream to our creative and inborn talents and abilities.
Of course we all need to de-stress, whether we are teenagers who suffer from a skin condition and migraines as a effect of stress, men and women in “anger management”, authors who suffer from writer’s blockades, industry people who burst a blood vessel, or parents at home who aren’t enjoying their kids but end up screaming at them instead.
So how do we de-stress, urgently and fast? One answer to that is hypnosis! In my opinion it’s the best for stress relief. Long before a person who is under a lot of stress can even make a start to take pleasure in music to relax them even further, they need to slow down into an alternative state of being, and for that you need help. This help can be brought to you when you learn self-hypnosis.
A pleasant conversation and discussion by a sympathetic other is the most natural way of getting rid of stress made-up by human kind. That even exceeds natural touch approaches in high-level stress situations; it precedes them too. As you know specialists can “talk” a possible suicide victim down from the top of a building, and not massage them off. We can also talk an angry chap with a gun down into lowering it, we don’t tap him on the back.
That is exactly where hypnosis comes in to help with stress. It works in a similar way and hypnosis is designed to assist individuals to enter into an altered state of contemplation - that is the leading intent of hypnosis, and its speciality. Relax in a flash!
Often persons get mystified by the instructions or the content of hypnosis. The post hypnotic suggestions for transformation that take all the attention, but it is a reality that hypnosis brings people into the relaxing meditative state where they even turn into receptive to suggestions, ideas, visions and new thoughts is where the power of hypnosis to heal the mind actually lies.
Going into trance is something that we understand and we are qualified when a hypnotist talks to us. The hypnotist talks us down from the stress of the feelings that fly all over, into a relaxed state of clarity and peace. Then your body is at ease and mind curing can finally begin.
The more hypnosis you do, the better you get at relaxing. It is a learned skill that gets ever better with practice. So my recommendation to combat stress, and to gain knowledge of how to relax, is to do hypnosis - lots of it.

5 Effective Stress Busting Tips

We are constantly bombarded through the media with advertisements that are designed to make us feel unacceptable, unhappy, unfulfilled, over weight and in need of a quick fix. Of course the quick fix is always the product or service being offered.
Do you suffer from indigestion due to over eating…then drink this pink liquid and feel better…then do it again later so we can sell you some more pink liquid! The last thing the people who make pink liquid want you to do is to learn to eat slowly, appreciate your food and stop when you begin to feel full!
The same is true with the economy, we have been conditioned to buy..buy..buy and never feel satisfied or fulfilled. We always FEEL like we need the next best cell phone, or that cool pair of $150.00 running shoes because we have been programmed to respond that way through a constant stream of advertisements that tell us we are not good enough the way we are or with what we have.
It’s no wonder that so many people are over stressed. Where are the positive, uplifting messages and images that tell us we are ok, that we can be happy, that we did a good job and that there is hope.
Within each of us is a part of us known as the sub-conscious or unconscious mind. This part of our minds has the ability to process millions of bits of information every second and has access to everything we have ever learned or experienced in our lives, even if we can’t remember it consciously.
Making friends with your unconscious mind can provide you with access to unlimited resources to make the changes you desire in your life. This includes finding new ways to help you reduce stress and increasing a sense of balance and calmness.
Here are 5 tips to help you begin to reduce the amount of stress in your life.
1) Reduce the amount of advertising and negative media that you allow in your life. It always take effort to change the habit of listening to the radio or sitting in front of the tv. Don’t eliminate the entertainment, just the news and commercials! Switch to an MP3 player for your music source, watch DVDs or Video Tapes instead of sitcoms, or get yourself a Personal Video Recorder and fast forward through commercials!
2) Listen to your internal voice and notice whether the things you say to yourself are positive or negative. When you make a mistake do you say to yourself “that was stupid” or worse “I’m so stupid” when faced with a challenge do you say “I can’t do that”? Begin to re-state you internal dialog in a positive way when you catch yourself saying something negative, such as “I can’t do that…yet..
3) Make a list of things you are proud of, people you love, fun times you have had in the past. When you are feeling stressed, go through the list and take the time to visualize those people, places and things and notice how it changes the way you feel.
4) Change your physiology! When you are feeling stressed, change the way you breath, hold your shoulders back, stand or sit up straight and image what it would feel like to have just won the lottery…. How does that change the way you feel? Change your physiology, then change your breathing and you will change the way you feel! You can learn to control your state instead of allowing your state to control you!
5) Use self hypnosis recordings to empower yourself and tap the resources of your unconscious mind. Hypnosis is deeply relaxing and allows your body to rest and repair while providing a positive experience.

FREE Light and Sound Machine Software for Stress
Since 1997, Herbert Benson, of the Harvard Medical School, has reaffirmed that “Sixty to ninety percent of [doctor-patient] visits are prompted by conditions related to stress.” Especially in today’s world, stress management is truly vital to emotional, relational, and overall physical health. As a psychologist, I understand that most tend to consider meditative exercises as too difficult to learn; and too time consuming to practice.
Although activities like watching television and listening to music can be relaxing, they do not illicit the relaxation response that is most beneficial for managing stress. In order to de-stress, people need to do something that sounds contradictory, namely engage in activity that is not passive. The Surgeon General recommends physical activity for stress management. One can also manage stress by engaging in self-meditations.
Even though Light and Sound Machines are effective devices that help to induce healthy meditative states, most also consider them to be too expensive. To sample the positive effects of these devices, “Flasher 1.51″ is actually a fully-functional, virtual Light & Sound Machine freeware program, that was created in the early 1990’s. It was designed to similarly entrain brainwaves with precisely timed, flickering lights. One can simply choose the settings one wants, sit in front of the computer monitor, and close one’s eyes. The software then pulses the monitor so that the flickering is experienced behind one’s closed eyelids. It offers a remarkably effective, seemingly effortless feeling of DEEP RELAXATION, within only a few minutes. The effect appears very similar to the experience of using actual Light & Sound Machine goggles.
This meditation enhancer was recently given new life, by an American computer programmer. It now allows the previously out-dated program to function within today’s modern Windows environment. I often recommend it to my patients who want to better mange their stress.

Better Than Sleeping Pills - Sleep With Brainwave Entrainment

Do you know you can synchronize your brainwaves and achieve better sleep? This article from the eBook, ABZzz’s of Sleeping Insomnia-Free focuses on the letter ‘B’ and refers to brainwave entrainment.
What is brainwave entrainment? Entrainment, a physics principle, refers to the synchronization of two or more rhythmical cycles where vibrations of one object will cause the vibrations of the other object to oscillate at the same frequency. For example, if two pendulum clocks are placed next to one another, in time they will gradually synchronize to one another. Brainwave entrainment is not new. Vibrations resonate with one another, just like tuning forks. The application of this principle has been used for centuries by different cultures via drumming and chanting, to create rhythmic patterns which would stimulate altered states of consciousness. Your brain is composed of billions of cells called neurons and they communicate via electricity. This electrical brain activity can be measured by using sensitive medical equipment, like an EEG, and because of its cyclical wave-like nature, is called a brainwave.
Depending on a person’s level of activity, from the highly aroused alpha state, to the delta state of deep sleep, the wave formations change dramatically. When the insomniac wakes in the middle of the night, brainwave activity picks up as the mind chatter begins. Brainwave entrainment refers to the electrical response of the brain to rhythmic sensory stimulation, by the use of pulses of sound or light. When the brain is given a rhythmic stimulus, such as a repetitive drumbeat, rain, waves etc., the brain reproduces the rhythm in the form of these electrical impulses. Depending on the speed and consistency of the rhythm, the brain can respond by synchronizing its own electrical cycle to the rhythm. As an example, a 4Hz brainwave is associated with sleep; therefore a 4Hz sound pattern would help reproduce the sleep state in your brain. If you have difficulty turning off the mind chatter while trying to get to sleep, or when you wake during the night, you may want to experiment with calming the brainwaves to a much slower frequency by using brainwave entrainment. Fortunately there are numerous CD’s available with repetitive, rhythmical noise patterns that help to calm the brain to induce sleep. An Internet search for “brainwave entrainment” will yield a plethora of results. You may also want to experiment with creating your own rhythmical entrainment CD with computer software. Many of these programs will not only help guide your brain down to a deep delta sleep, but also assist in giving you better control over your daytime energy levels. Look for programs that do not require you to use headphones or special speakers. If you have used entrainment for sleep induction before, you know how annoying attempting to sleep with a pair of earphones in can be.
- Brainwave entrainment programs can help guide you into a very relaxed state, close to sleep. You might even find yourself nodding off even during light relaxation sessions.
- Theta brainwave training is very successful, and while common sense says Theta training would be the most effective treatment for chronic Insomnia, however, researchers suggests that there is no universal remedy for poor sleep habits, and that a single protocol does not often work for everyone. In fact, chronic, life-long insomniacs tend to respond much better to more specific brainwave patterns related to control over energy levels and movement.
- One study successfully treated 16 long time psychophysiological insomniacs, randomly assigning each of them to either SMR training or Theta training. It was found that the tense, anxious insomniacs responded well to Theta training as opposed to those who, while deeply relaxed, still found it difficult to sleep, responding better to SMR training.
Whether you are a chronic Insomniac or you simply have too much on your mind, brainwave entrainment can help guide your mind to a deep, restorative sleep, reduce mental thought chatter, and give you more control over sleep and energy levels in the future. It was even described by one insomniac as “better than sleeping pills” at helping him fall asleep.
